Niklas Ajo rediscovers feeling in Jerez

Avant Tecno KTM rider begins final 2013 preseason test in Jerez.
Preseason testing went back to the Circuito de Jerez in Spain this week, with Niklas Ajo back onboard his KTM bike after a month apart. Good weather allowed the Avant Tecno KTM rider to put in further laps ahead of the Moto3 season, which begins on April 7th in Qatar. The Finnish rider clocked a best time of 1’48.806, and debuted his new livery for 2013.
In the first session, Ajo rode eight laps and found a good feeling onboard his KTM. However, in the final session, consisting of two hours alongside the Moto2 field, the Avant Tecno KTM rider was able to add a further 27 laps to his testing experience. His best time was a 1’48.806 which placed him fourteenth on the combined timesheet.
Testing continues tomorrow with a double session, although rain is forecast in Jerez.
”The first day wasn’t bad, we have a good bike. I felt better than before. I am happy with how I’m feeling, with the suspension and with everything else. We didn’t make many changes; instead, we just tried out a few things. I rode ten laps and immediately felt good. I want to continue with the same work tomorrow, trying to find a good setup and seeing what we can improve upon. We want to be prepared for when the races come round.”
