Sunday guide, Moto3

* Maverick Viñales starts from pole for the second successive race. He finished second at the Catalan Grand Prix last year after leading the race in the early stages.
* Second on the grid is Zulfahmi Khairuddin, making him the first Malaysian rider to start from the front row in Grand Prix racing. His fourth place at Estoril four weeks ago is also the best ever GP result by a Malaysian rider.
* Louis Rossi starts from the front row for the first time since he was third on the grid at the opening race of the year in Qatar. If he wins the race here in Catalunya he would be the first French rider to win back-to-back GP races since Arnaud Vincent in 2002.
* Heading the second row of the grid is Sandro Cortese, who has finished fourth at the Catalan Grand Prix for the last two years.
* Fifth-fastest in qualifying, Miguel Oliveira has failed to finish at the last three races.
* Taking the final place on the second row is Luis Salom, who has never managed to make it to the finish line in his three previous GP starts in Catalunya.
* Seventh on the grid is Alexis Masbou, making his 100th Grand Prix start, all of which have been in the lightweight class.
